Operational Excellence is fundamental to our purpose for delivering exceptional results to reach innovative therapies for our patients with cancer, immune-inflammatory, and other unmet medical needs.

The Manager Operational Excellence participates to the Operational Excellence program by managing continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional medium to high complexity projects, advocating and applying Lean tools and techniques in compliance with GMP regulations, to deliver sustainable benefits and increase our capability to meet defined needs with efficiency.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business or Supply Chain in an industrial environment, experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
  • Minimum 5 years in a LEAN Operational Excellence position (or equivalent experience acceptable).
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is required, pharmaceutical experience is a plus
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent combination of advance education and experience.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic matrixed environment, beyond pre-defined processes, bringing strategic insights.
  • Ability to build straightforward business scenarios and options.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
  • Process and concept-oriented mindset: understands impact and interdependencies.
  • Capable to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong team player.
  • Conscientious and reliable in action follow-up.
  • Excellent IT proficiency: MS Office, Vision, Minitab.
  • Fluency in French and English are required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive projects and initiatives targeting the improvement of manufacturing and business processes through the application of Lean manufacturing approach and tools, to develop the manufacturing organization’s capabilities in operational excellence.
  • Identify capacity gain, cost and efficiency opportunities and drive Lean projects to meet expected benefits and strategic objectives in compliance with GMP.
  • Lead or coach problem solving teams and Kaizen events to improve operational performance and wastes reduction initiatives.
  • Act as a change agent or as an educational resource as needed to spread and support a mindset and culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage and arrange training programs, providing and maintaining the Lean methodology and tools.
  • Act as a Lean coach on projects or Continuous Improvement (CI) program, providing support on expected benefits.
